Domus are currently working with a fantastic national charity who provide specialised residential and supported living services to adults with autism and complex needs to recruit for a Registered Manager at one of their specialist services near Burnham-On-Sea.
My client requires a strong manager with fantastic organisational skills and a thorough knowledge of policy and procedure (i.
e. mental health capacity assessments, deprivation of liberty safeguards and safeguarding procedures).
The salary is £28,000 £33,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications.
Key responsibilities :
Managing all aspects of running the home including supervision of staff, rotas, care planning, quality assurance, training, budget management, finances and management of medication.
Ensuring adherence to all CQC fundamental standards.
Communicating effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
Training, developing and motivating staff through example and attention to good working practice.
The ideal candidate will :
Be registered with CQC and be managing a residential service for adults with learning disabilities, ideally autism. (An exceptional deputy manager looking to step up will also be considered).
Be a driver due to the location of the service.
Have extensive experience working with adults with behaviours that may challenge and have a working knowledge of autism.
Have a clean DBS and have a full record of satisfactory references from jobs in the care sector.
Have a good understanding of the latest developments in the field of autism and learning disabilities.
