Key Responsibilities :
Negotiate with brokers, cultivate and maintain those broker relationships
Follow underwriting guidelines and submit underwriting, pricing and negotiation recommendations to the Underwriting Manager.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities
Manage and grow the book of business in a profitable manner
Coordinate and / or participate in special projects as required
Attend off-site conferences, trade shows, seminars and meetings as required
Develop an in-depth understanding of the portfolio, broker and market structure, and be able to develop new business in accordance with company objectives
Skills and Experience Specification :
Ideally 3 -5 years’ experience in a similar position within professional indemnity / financial lines
Well-developed IT skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work well in a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and / or clients
Willingness to learn / proactive approach / takes ownership
Degree level education
London Market / Lloyd’s experience
