    As a member of the User Experience team you will be required to provide user experience consultancy, advice and design work to some of the UK’s best-

    known brands across sectors such as Healthcare, Telecoms, Automotive and Financial Services. This is a hands-on role and you must have the ability to work alongside and communicate with other teams in the business such as Client Services and the Creative Studio.

    This role works with a strong creative team alongside other specialists in ideas, content, design and technology and will work across all digital channels, including search, social media, digital marketing, websites and mobile.

    The role is responsible for the user experience and interaction design for our client’s websites, mobile and tablet products and cross platform digital experience, ensuring that they meet creative standards which reflect our clients’ brand values and contribute to business goals such as increasing users, reducing churn, generating engagement and driving brand equity.

    This role reports directly to RAPP’s Solutions Director and works particularly closely with the strategy, concept, design, development and project management teams and collaborates with all departments.


  • Develop and / or work with audience profiles to define user segment needs and provide benchmarks for delivered work
  • Deliver appropriate and innovative user experiences, producing detailed IA documentation that has a task-oriented and user-centered approach
  • Define user journeys / flows, ensuring users are able to achieve their goals effectively
  • Develop site architecture maps, wireframes and functional specifications
  • Develop and maintain consistency of accessibility and interaction design guidelines for all web and mobile activity as our clients require
  • Ensure that proper processes are in place to deliver the best possible work incorporating user centered design and user experience consultancy as required
  • Oversee user testing activity, and (where necessary) recruitment and management of external agencies to deliver this
  • Work with project managers and other relevant business owners throughout the project lifecycle and have experience with both waterfall and agile projects approaches
  • Work with Account Management, Planning and New Business to help sell UX services by providing proposals, site reviews and research
  • Actively support the Solutions Director in promoting the UX offering and its benefits to clients within the business
  • Support the Planning team by championing the user through the production process using target audience insights identified by the Planning team to develop the User Experience
  • Collaborate with creative teams to interpret and develop the detailed solution from their concepts
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to ensure the IA will work with and support the design vision
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the IA is technically sound and innovative
  • Work with the Solutions Director to develop and refine IA processes within the agency
  • Deliver all required UX materials on time

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience in developing user experience concepts through user journeys, wireframes, site structures, site maps and process flows
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to articulate IA solutions and sell stakeholders on user-friendly design
  • Knowledge of UX and visual design tools, e.g. Axure, Sketch, Illustrator etc.
  • Good knowledge of user interface design principles, usability, and accessibility
  • Additional skills in User Testing and Analytics will be beneficial
  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of user experience methodology and practices including user-centred design, expert evaluation, competitor benchmarking, usability testing and user research and information architecture
  • Experience of delivering design and UX in a commercial environment working on products with a transactional / e-commerce
  • Good understanding of web analytics and business metrics, and their constructive use in the UX / design process
  • Ability to deliver all related deliverables including sitemaps, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, specifications, content audits and competitor and user analysis
  • Experience of working with senior commercial executives, and converting their requirements into winning products
  • Experience of working with developers in an agile environment
