Salary : From £34,712 p.a.up to £41,082 p.a.(dependent on experience) .
35.5 hours per week - Full time. Working between the hoours of 08 : 00 - 17 : 00 Monday to Friday.
We are looking to offer Permanent Contracts.
Due to operational demand, all applicants must be able to work flexibly in terms of both attendance times and days of the week.
Must also be available to attend on call out outside normal hours.
Key aspects of the role include :
On a day-to-day basis, responsible for performing corrective / preventative maintenance tasks compliant with Asset Care Schedules and recognised diagnostic procedures to resolve automation asset faults and breakdowns.
Identify the root cause of automation asset faults and improve asset performance, maximising performance and reliability to meet operational processing objectives.
Consistently interface with operations and maintenance management systems to deliver a professional engineering service
To maintain the safe working of all automation assets
Perform day-to-day delivery of maintenance tasks, specifically preventative / predictive maintenance, corrective maintenance and conduct performance improvement initiatives.
Identify the root cause of automation faults / breakdowns and prioritise corrective actions to meet operational processing objectives.
Monitor and review day-to-day equipment performance and improve automation outputs in partnership with operations
Implement asset updates and modifications to ensure the correct configuration and reliability of automation assets in a timely manner.
Assist in the risk assessment process, developing engineering safe systems of work, standard maintenance procedures while maintaining a safe working environment.
Ensure the effective provision of automation spares, including usage and cost while liaising with operational customers
Perform obsolescence management processes to ensure automation spares that are no longer available are replaced by suitable and reliable alternatives.
Liaise with 3rd Party suppliers to meet the requirements of ensuring automation availability and reliability.
Update documentation, including drawings, for all automation assets
Key knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications required
Must be a qualified engineer with knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum systems, Electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to work on own initiative and be proactive and creative to solve technical and production issues
Knowledge of PLC systems
Ability to amend and update engineering drawings
Good customer service skills
Excellent organisational skills
With a detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation you will have first-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment, ideally Programme Logic Controllers (PLC), along with a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
