We started on our journey in 2007 be the number 1 global destination for the young beauty obsessed when our CEO’s, two brothers with no formal qualifications (but shit loads of passion), set out to bring the very best of the world’s beauty to the people who just have to have it.
We have an incredible team in Manchester, working to discover the latest in all areas of beauty, and we get to share this with our customers, who are hands down the most passionate bunch we’ve ever known.

ROLE : Senior Developer
Here at Beauty Bay, we are continuing with our plans and it is very much BAU as we continue with our international growth where our tech is driving us on.
We’re currently looking for new talent in our tech team who live and breathe our values (Innovative, Communication and Customer Focussed) and most importantly you are a driven, passionate and eagle-eyed Senior Software Engineer looking to take the next step in your career.
This is a key role, leading & mentoring a small group of devs in a fast-paced agile team who utilise multiple CI tools to ensure clean test driven code is deployed to production multiple times a day, no time for red tape! While you will be predominantly working in a team with a shared workload, you will be expected to pro-actively work and look to seek out new opportunities for the IT team.
So, what tech will I be using?
Coming from a strongly typed language such as ASP.NET or more recently .NET Core, using SOLID and TDD principles, you’ll be responsible for the inception and integration of some core platform features as well as the maintenance of the existing, clean codebase.
As a team we all have the responsibility of ensuring the team's logic is concise, functional and scalable, this is an important aspect of the role, so you shouldn’t be afraid to give and receive constructive criticism.
Our front end is a React based SPA so a working knowledge of React, its lifecycles and API are nice to have but not essential to be successful in this role.
While on paper we have separate development and infrastructure teams, we work hand in hand with each other and as such you will receive exposure to a variety of AWS services and applications on a daily basis.
Prior knowledge of cloud computing practices and AWS suite of services would be beneficial but not essential!

com to further deliver a seamless retail and lifestyle experience. Editorial content now sits next to new-in products on a spilt screen homepage with innovative scrolling SHOP and DISCOVER headers.
Content is woven into every element of the shopping experience.
