We have a fantastic opportunity for a Microsoft Cloud Engineer to join the IT Department. Our support / project functions are crucial to the success of the business by supporting the business strategy and growth plans.
This role will mainly focus on Marston’s journey to the Cloud and the eventual exit of our on premise Data Centres towards the end of 2022.
Our Head Office is based in Wolverhampton, however you will be able to work from home, with occasional office / site visits required.
Key Responsibilities :
To work within a Datacentre Migration Programme to migrate all on-premise workloads to Microsoft Azure
Planning of migrations to minimize business impact
To raise the skills within the existing teams in order to operate effectively once the migration is complete
Produce professional, clear and comprehensive documentation.
Key Skills and Experience :
Have experience of how a Cloud Centre of Excellence operates and be able to upskill existing team members
Strong knowledge of Virtualisation technologies including VMWare
Experience of using Azure Migrate
Knowledge of ARM templates
Have experience of optimizing workloads once in the cloud
Strong experience of Microsoft infrastructure applications Active Directory, Exchange, SQL etc
An excellent understanding of Azure and related Certifications would be an advantage
A highly motivated self-starter who can manage their agreed workload with little direction
An excellent communicator with the ability to engage and co-ordinate activities with various stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
A team player who works well in a relaxed but professional environment
Ideally have experience in Office 365 migrations such as Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams. What you get in return :
