What you’ll be doing

The Sales Operations Analyst will work in close partnership with sales leadership, the Planning and Commission teams to design, evaluate and operationalise the sales territories and associated compensation plans for Tableau sales employees.

Projects range from robust analytic models, custom performance analysis, scalable reporting infrastructure, and the packaging of findings into presentation ready content for sales executives.

You will be responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of sales related data; creating both standardised and custom reports, conducting quantitative product and sales analysis, and providing support for assessing data integrity.

This role is also responsible for developing standardised tools, methodologies and business processes aimed at improving operational efficiency for Sales Operations.

Collect, analyse, evaluate and report data to track sales performance, productivity, efficiency and headcount numbers.

Analyse sales performance data, interpret overall results of sales in relation to territory optimisation

Collaborate with team to improve or define processes that promote data integrity and reporting functionality

Generate ad hoc reporting for sales management

Administer weekly tasks of validating and releasing compensation plan information to Commissions for all new employees and internal transfers.

Assist with annual review of compensation plans; partner to create recommendation to sales leaders and finance

Assist in developing presentations for senior executives

Collaborate cross functionally to establish reporting standards

Proactively interact with Sales and stakeholders to continuously find ways to improve processes that will increase customer satisfaction and maximize potential growth

Be the custodian of Sales Policy and Process compliance within EMEA region identify improvements where possible and escalating any non-compliance or deviations

Liaise with the Data Quality team to ensure that new accounts and opportunities are routing to the correct owner and be a point of escalation should the data quality team require in region support

Who you are

Experience : 5+ years experience in consulting, finance, sales ops, and / or product management. Experience in an analyst role within sales ops specifically related to territory optimisation, compensation plans and sales reporting is preferred.

Analytical skills : Proficiency in quantitative analysis, ideally with strong ability in Excel and logical reasoning preferred.

Ability to perform complex analyses including regression, forecasting and probability modelling.

Technical ability : Working knowledge of relational databases, strong knowledge of Excel, Salesforce.com and ability to become an expert in Tableau Software’s full product suite.

Prior experience of using Anaplan would also be highly desirable

Communication skills : The ability to confidently communicate with C-level stakeholders; and the ability to convey complex concepts and information to a broad audience.

Attention to detail : Strong attention to detail and focus on quality results.

Project management : Experience of effectively working on a project team with the ability to present to groups.
