A vacancy exists for a Technical Sales / Business Development Manager within the Access Control Sales team, reporting to the Director of Access Control.

This role will be field based throughout the UK & Ireland.

The primary objective of this position is to :

  • Ensure sales revenue growth through promotion of products and business relationships with System Integrators and End Users, focusing on the commercial business environment.
  • Key responsibilities and duties include :

  • Working closely with the Director of Access Control to identify, qualify, negotiate and close new business deals.
  • Developing current relationships and the corresponding revenue streams for Access Control products.
  • Preparing and delivering technical sales presentations and demonstrations showing the capabilities of the products.
  • Providing accurate forecasting and activity information to the Senior Sales Manager on a planned and agreed basis.
  • Working effectively with members of AAUK to identify opportunities which provide the best overall solutions and deliver world-class service.
  • Achieving budgeted (as a minimum) product revenue and margin-monthly & yearly.
  • Achieving targeted product market share.
  • Ensuring identified opportunities are followed up and managed closely.
  • Ensuring opportunities and visits are regularly updated within CRM.
  • Attending and presenting at industry events and exhibitions.
  • The ideal candidate will :

  • Have a proven track record of selling products and technology solutions in the electronic security or building management sectors.
  • Have a solid understanding of wired and wireless networks and infrastructures.
  • Hold a qualification in a business-related / commercial function (desirable)
  • Have knowledge and experience of dealing with UK Access Control Manufacturers and Integrators (desirable)
  • Possess strong overall IT skills
  • Demonstrate robust client management skills.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be customer focused and priority driven.
  • Take a positive and determined approach to researching and analysing new business opportunities.
  • Have good planning and organisation skills.
  • Demonstrate good presentation skills.
