Reports to : Group Leader Mechanical Design Team
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer / Electro Mechanical Engineer with drive and enthusiasm to join Europe’s number one missile system provider, developing and designing Test Equipment solutions for the next generation of weapons.
You will support Design, Development and Proving activities, throughout the product lifecycle, for a wide range of bespoke test system hardware.
You will be supported with the use of state of the art engineering tools and MBDA’s extensive in house facilities and capabilities.

What are we looking for?
Significant practical experience in Mechanical or Electro Mechanical Design and Development and / or suitable vocational qualification.
Relevant 3D CAD / CAE (ProEngineer / CREO / Windchill) experience. (Other CAD Packages such as Solidworks / Solidedge are acceptable).
You will possess good communication skills and be aware of cultural differences.
You will have a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner, able to set priorities and deal with multiple issues.
To have an understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
An understanding of Manufacturing processes, design for EMC , Connectors to BS & military specifications, Tolerance studies, Environmental test, Thermal management design, Material selection, PCB / Flexi manufacture, Standard electronic components, Design for Manufacture would be advantageous.
