Job Description

Own, manage and run the production of Performance test scripts and execution using appropriate testing tools and techniques and conforming to agreed acceptance criteria and standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The generation and execution of the Performance test plan.
  • The generation and execution of the Performance test scripts. Set up of Performance test environment, test data and test-harnesses as necessary
  • Ensures that documentation is produced detailing test failures and successes compared with pre-determined criteria
  • Reports test results to Performance Test Manager and / or other colleagues in a clear and concise manner
  • Liaises with other members of the project team as required to gain their understanding and agreement of test plans
  • Produces reports as required by the Performance Test Manager
  • Confident dealing with system testers (technical / non-technical) of other organisations and discussing test related activities.
  • Carrying out test activities in accordance with the overall project plan and highlighting any deviations to the Performance Test manager, recommending corrective action and helping prepare any appropriate recovery initiatives.
  • Active involvement in day-to-day test activities and escalating issues / deviations proactively.
  • Helping the Performance Test manager in testing risk mitigation and issue resolution
  • Ownership for Performance Test activity through FAT, SAT and UAT
  • Qualifications

  • Experience in a Performance testing or Problem Solving Role.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer facing skills
  • At least 18 months performance testing experience in IT or similar testing or diagnostic ITIL function such as problem management.
  • Deals effectively with unexpected situations and overcomes problems
  • Demonstrates initiative and anticipates needs
  • Sound problem solving ability
  • Attention to detail and self starter
  • Additional Information

    Desired Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of CRM, workflow and document management solutions.
  • Experience of systems built using the following technologies :
  • NET - ASP and C#
  • Web services

    Browser based app Chrome, IE and Firefox
