We are currently seeking an Underwriter, on a fixed term contract basis, to join the e-trading team. Do you have underwriting experience, or transferable skills in a similar background?

The team looks after all new e-trade business enquiries and account discussions to mid-term adjustments and renewals, our HSB E-Trade Team consists of responsive underwriting experts who are key contacts for underwriting referrals and general e-trade support!

We cover all aspects of the underwriting and sales administration relating to inspection and insurance quotations, enabling the team to achieve new business growth and revenue targets.

WE EXPECT

Key Responsibilities :

You will provide a high standard of administrative and underwriting support to the Segment teams, enabling a highly efficient Customer First’ service to all customers.

Collaborating with team members you will assist in the achievement of the segment service and operational standards.

On a day to day basis you will pro-actively handle a caseload in line with assigned authority level and effectively underwrite existing business cases, including analysis and compilation of data for referrals.

You will be given the autonomy to prioritise your own renewal allocation, maintaining case retention and rates, and identifying any cross selling opportunities, to achieve team targets.

This role requires the successful candidate to take an analytical approach to processing adjustments accurately and promptly to ensure customer expectations are met.

You will work collaboratively as part of a team to effectively handle and resolve broker and client queries against agreed internal and external SLA’s.

You will escalate where appropriate to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and maximise customer retention ensuring compliance with all internal and industry and regulatory requirements are met at all times.
