Temporary - March 2022


Our Public Sector client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Senior Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for 6 weeks initially with possibility of extension.

This is a full time opportunity working Monday-Friday with hours of work being 09 : 00-17 : 00.

This is a fast paced environment with calls being received 24 hours a day 7 days per week. As a Senior Administrator you will be expected to provide an effective and comprehensive level of administration support to ensure the most effective utilisation of temporary staffing resources through careful planning and organisation.

Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants must be able to pass a Basic Disclosure Scotland Check or hold a Basic Disclosure issued within the last 12 months.

Main Duties Include :

  • Responsible for the arranging of operational shift cover, allocating temporary staff to required shifts daily / weekly.
  • Recording and tracking temprary staff sickness and annual leave
  • Alter and update rota’s in order to provide the best operational cover according to
  • the demands on the service and to attain the optimum use of the resources
  • available.
  • Provide an efficient level of clerical support in the Workforce Planning including
  • data input, typing correspondence by email and letter. Routine filing, photocopying etc.
  • Liaise with the Divisional Management Team to maintain a flow of correct and accurate information regarding staff absence and the resources available to them.
  • Re-prioritise throughout the day as circumstances change.
  • Carry out any other reasonable and appropriate duties as may be required by
  • members of Senior Managers in the management and organisation of temporary or permanent staff workforce.
  • Skills / Experience Required :

  • Strong Administration experience within a fast paced environment
  • Previous experience in Workforce Planning (desirable)
  • Strong organisation, planning and recording skills
  • Excellent IT skills, ability to use all MS office packages especially Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Previous experience using GRS software (desired)
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work to changing demands within a calm approach
