We have an excellent opportunity for a Fire & Security Systems Technician to join Honeywell’s building management solutions team in Glasgow to work across some of our most prestigious client sites.


  • Main duties include carrying out service calls, PPM and routine inspections on systems such as Fire Systems, Access Control, CCTV, Nurse Call & Intruder Systems
  • To ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the current industry standards as well as working to the NSI code of practice
  • Adherence to Service Quality System via Internal and External Audit.
  • Reduction of unproductive time by continually organising and supervising engineer and area workloads in conjunction with Lead Engineer and Service Leader.
  • Increase and maintain the number of completed calls per day to achieve the KPI’s.
  • Improve the First Time Fix rate for all fault calls. Improve the Maintenance Backlog.
  • Identify and action any additional maintenance and small works sales opportunities.
  • Act as a first line of escalation for Clients, Central Administrators and other engineers with problems on customer sites.
  • Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Fire & Security Systems.
  • Experience within the Electrical / electronic industry.
  • C&G, BTEC, OND qualification in an Electrical / Electronic discipline.
  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems for Buildings BS 5839-1 : 2017 with addressable systems highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Honeywell Fire and Security products like Gent, Notifier Temaline and Galaxy highly desirable.
  • XLS1000 Fire System Knowledge and programming experience highly desirable.
  • Network and IT skills also highly desirable.
