12 month Fixed Term Contract

We are looking for a receptionist to join QinetiQ's Business Administration Services and local Business Support team. In this busy and varied role, you will undertake a range of reception duties from our Farnborough HQ, presenting a positive image of QinetiQ and ensuring all processes and procedures are followed.

The role will involve :

  • Maintaining a range of records, entering, collating and organising data using standard methods to assist with data analysis.
  • Providing reception service and assistance to, internal and external customers
  • Managing a large volume of telephone calls utilising voicemail for self and on behalf of others. Accurate capture and relaying of messages.
  • Administration of complex visitor bookings, including groups
  • Providing support to groups of visitors, i.e. booking onto site, using standard procedures and in line with health and safety and security requirements
  • Liaising effectively with visitor hosts.
  • Sending and receiving mail or goods using standard security and safety procedures
  • Production of accurate Microsoft Office documents, and appropriate storage of documents in accordance with procedures.
  • Archiving and / or filing selecting the appropriate storage method. Retrieval of information as required.
  • Making diary entries accurately and clearly.
  • Photocopying, printing, shredding etc. in accordance with health and safety instructions.
  • Identifying and communicating continuous improvement opportunities within own role and tasks, and assistance with the implementation of the improvement.
  • Through collaboration with other Business Support team members, contributing to the delivery of an effective and agile Business Support service
  • Providing holiday / sickness cover for other members of Business Support team as required
  • The Fit :

    The successful candidate will have experience in a customer facing role or reception environment. You will have business administration experience, able to use MS packages including Word and Excel.

    The ability to adapt in this varied role is vital as you will be undertaking a diverse range of tasks with minimal supervision.
