Axcis want to hear from you. We work with a number of mainstream, SEND schools, pupil referral units and alternative provisions within the area.
We have some 1-1 positions as well as general in-class support, many of our roles start as ad-hoc on the day supply but many are extended into longer term and permanent contracts for people who make a good impression.
A passion for working with special needs is essential for this role and you will have a real desire to make a difference.
You will need to be adaptable, flexible and able to develop good relationships with the children you are working with. You could be working with children with disabilities such as autism, aspergers, ADHD, Downs syndrome, Cerebral Palsy to name a few.
You may be expected to undertake personal care.

You will need to hold an up to date DBS certificate and be able to provide a detailed, work history with contactable references to be considered for this role.
If you have lived or worked abroad for more than six months in the last five years then you will need to provide a police check from that country.
