We are looking for Waste Operatives on a Temp to Perm basis for our client who are based in Edinburgh (beside Fort Kinnaird.

There is no necessary experience required as training will be provided. However, you need to have the ability to carry out physically demanding and dirty work.

Pay - £10.50ph (Weekly Pay)

Location - Millerhill, Edinburgh

Hours - Full time

Contract - 12 weeks temporary (possibility of extension)

The main duty of the role is to receive, sort and process feedstock to optimise the operation of the plant. This will include facilitating the smooth intake, sorting and loading operation of the plant on a day-to-day basis.

Ensuring compliance with the Environmental Permit and Animal By-Products (ABP) regulations. To put it simply, food waste is put into giant sealed, oxygen-free tanks where it is gradually broken down to produce biogas and biofertilizer - the role will be ensuring there is no "non-food" material within the waste before it is entered into the tanks.

Key Skills and Knowledge

Desire to obtain a forklift truck licence

Prioritisation to complete tasks efficiently

Understanding of company procedures and protocols.

Ability to adapt plans to changing circumstances.

Self-motivated and pro-active / flexible and adaptable.

Good Team Player but also happy to work on own.

Full Driving License - preferable
