We’re looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT Operations team. The role provides technical support for all our users across JoJo by troubleshooting user issues and helping develop fixes.

This is an exciting time to join our IT Operations team, we have introduced a new ERP system, Microsoft Navision, and completely redeveloped our warehouse application suite.

You will be responsible for supporting all these systems, helping ensure our business can operate 24 / 7. You will have the opportunity to work with every department within the business giving you the oversight to how we operate from customer procurement to fulfilment.

Working as part of an experienced IT team, and reporting into our Application Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills as well as your business understanding.

As a member of our IT Operations team, you’ll play a key role within JoJo, contributing to our business to really make a difference.

A day in the life :

  • Your problem-solving skills will be tested by providing 1st and 2nd line support across our wide range of applications and systems.
  • You’ll be performing low level troubleshooting using your skills to provide technical support to the entire organisation.
  • Interrogating data and processes using a variety of tools to enable you to suggest improvements and efficiencies to processes.

  • As part of resolving support queries, you’ll be producing documents and flow diagrams of system processes, writing reports, and running Train the Trainer sessions.
  • You will be monitoring and tacking your own workload in the JoJo Incident management system.
  • You’ll have the opportunity to test new developments in our test environments.
  • You’ll be involved in working with the developers helping to release new code into live systems.
  • Where any new major releases are taking place, you will be part of the key project team, ensuring smooth transition from old to new.
  • You will be the main escalation point for our third-party developers, managing ongoing support issues with them in their external helpdesk system.
  • Have an appetite to learn software development? You will see everything that is going on in our GIT environment.
  • What we look for in you

  • Previous experience working within in a fast-paced application support environment.
  • Experience of MS Dynamics is advantageous, but all ERPs will be considered.
  • Someone who has knowledge of Windows Server and SQL would be a bonus, as would having a basic understanding of DevOps frameworks.
  • Willingness to learn all areas of the business and departmental processes with the aptitude to have an overall holistic view of cross platform systems.
  • Knowledge of GITHUB a bonus.
  • You’ll have a high attention to detail as you’ll be working on business-critical issues.
  • You’ll be great at keeping on top of things and keeping those balls in the air while getting a kick out of working at pace.
  • The ability to build amazing working relationships and possess fantastic communication skills with the flair to interpret issues.
  • An interest in application development.
