The Contract Manager will lead a team of employees to provide a fully integrated service to the contract, managing all operational teams employed to ensure efficient and effective service provision in line with agreed budgets and service specifications.

You will monitor and report on the quality and financial performance of the services within the scope of the contract, to include innovation in service delivery and aim to continuously improve the service delivery to the clie

Responsibilities will include :

Being the first point of contact for the management of OCS service delivery to clients.

Demonstrating a responsive can-do attitude to the client, and end users.

Providing regular progress reports and service updates to our supply chain partners.

Being responsible for ensuring due compliance to the contract specification

Providing reports for our client representative and OCS management teams on all aspects of service delivery

Ensuring that all OCS and Client Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to, referring conflicts to the Client where necessary.

Ensuring that risk assessments, COSHH records and safe methods of work records are held centrally on the contract for all working practices

Having overall responsibility for quality performance on the contract with respect to Catering, Cleaning, Security, Portering and external suppliers which will include but is not limited to :

Maintaining and monitoring agreed quality systems, ensuring preventative and remedial actions are taken where necessary as laid down in the contract specification.

Ensuring that the work schedules are regularly reviewed to ensure best value for money and efficient delivery of services to our client requirements.

Monitoring and reporting on financial performance & quality of service delivery.

Using a continuous re-appraisal system, regularly review and recommend potential service improvements and / or cost savings

Adopting a pro-active, innovative approach in recommending improvements and changes to the service where considered to be cost effective, and ensure that this change is driven through the operation in a seamless and efficient manner.

Developing the business, championing new and up to date market initiatives and developing additional services and business with the customer in line with strategic objectives, ensuring that the services which are available are promoted wherever this provides benefit to our partnership with the Client.

Communicating regularly with staff through formal and informal channels to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.

Maintaining staffing levels in accordance with contract requirements.

Ensuring legal, company and contractual obligations are fulfilled in relation to all employee relations matters such as disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, maternity & paternity leave

Taking responsibility for cost control of the Catering, Cleaning, Security, Portering and external suppliers and promoting methods to maximise profitability & reduce costs without compromising Health & Safety, service or quality.

Analysing quotes and submitting recommendation to management with supporting evidence.

Experience required :

Education / Qualifications

A Level, further higher education or equivalent.

NEBOSH / IOSH Certificate would be desirable

IH Membership, appropriate trade qualifications and recognition

IT Literate, MS Office / competent in the use of Excel, Power point.

Working experience / Personal attributes

Proven experience in a healthcare Catering and Cleaning / Hotel Services environment, ideally a minimum of four years

Proven background in delivering a range of Catering and Cleaning / Hotel Services would be a pre-requisite.

Ability to interpret contract documentation

Ability to translate formal documentation into working specifications

Demonstrable track record of excellent client relationship management and customer-facing / partnering skills

Must have experience of full budgetary control to include complex fixed price or nil subsidy contracts.
