We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Planner
Department overview :
The European Retail Planning Team within Michael Kors is responsible for planning and trading stock and sales in all of our lifestyle and outlet stores across Europe.
You will manage & be responsible for a department across all channels to ensure the maximising of commercial opportunities.
Who You Are :

What You’ll Do :
To set and manage financial targets by dept and category.
Update & manage monthly OTB, working through WSSIs to identify opportunity in sales & to minimise risk.
Create reports / recaps of the business, develop financial plans and monitor the performance of sales, inventory, markdowns and profit by classification from a top-line to store level
Work closely with the buying team to analyse seasonal merchandise assortments and execute merchandising strategies in line with OTB;
to plan, build and trade seasonal ranges throughout the year.
Expected to produce regular & ad hoc analysis based on ROS, densities as well as sales and cover and present these findings to senior management
Initiate and create analysis to recap business by classification and style at a top-line as well as store level in order to partner with buying team to create actionable strategies to drive sales and achieve gross margin profitability
Recommend buys based on thorough analysis of retail business prior to each market to achieve increased sales, profitability and sell-thru %
Assist in creating seasonal, monthly and weekly plans for sales, inventory, markdowns and gross margin.
Produce & analyse weekly reports recapping sales, inventory and gross margin vs. plan and projection by classification, style and door
To build & develop a highly motivated & results driven team
Develop robust Exit strategies for OLD stock
Involvement in ad hoc projects.
You’ll Need to Have :
Solid experience within a Planning, Allocation or Merchandising position (outlet experience desired but not essential)
Computer Literate Advanced Excel Skills
Prior experience managing junior level reports
Strong analytical skills, creative problem solving skills and ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
