We take care of all decorative aspects of Müller packaging which you’ve probably seen already this week, if not today; we are currently recruiting for a Print & Artwork Technologist for a fixed term of 6-9 months.
What You’ll be up to and how you’ll get it done.
Managing the artwork process across all projects requiring new print designs or print and artwork changes for the Muller business, both Branded and Private Label activity, using our online workflow tool.
Collaborating with multiple interfaces both internally and externally to assess project timing, aesthetics, technical influences, costs and other factors that could have an impact.
Managing multiple relationships : Internally : Marketing, Legal, Food Law, Packaging Development, Factory, Quality, Commercial & Sales;
and externally : Private Label Retailers, Design Agencies, Repro Agencies and Suppliers to name a few.
Using your experience of pre-press and the packaging artwork process you’ll be able to provide Print Management expertise to assess concepts for feasibility, and artworks for printability.
You’ll be tapping into your problem solving skills to remedy challenges in the design for decoration process. Ensuring our printed packaging is fit for purpose;
printed on time, in budget and satisfies our customer’s expectations.
With a keen eye for detail you’ll be assessing finished packaging to Print Quality, ensuring colour management processes are adhered to and liaising with Printers to optimise print where appropriate.
You will often be the voice of reason, when time is tight and / or demands aren’t sensible, you’ll be able to manage expectations and prioritise rationally.
You’ll need some experience of the main print methods used for food packaging, and complexities of using multiple substrates, printers and processes within a brand portfolio, along with a finger on the pulse of the Packaging Industry the trends, challenges and innovations.
You’ll ideally have some experience in the FMCG environment so that you’ll be aware of the pace that we work at, the amount of projects we handle and arrive ready for a challenge!
Key Skills & Experience
Degree in design / or similar / or experience
Office literate, especially Office 365 & experience of Artwork Approval Tools
