Equity Research Analyst Chemicals, London

The Chemicals team is looking for an Analyst to join their team who has covered their own stocks before, and is client ready from Day 1.

This role would suit somebody who has had 1-2 stocks under coverage before and is confident in speaking to clients in a commercial way.

We’d consider profiles from multiple sectors, although ideally someone who has covered real economy’ stocks previously such as industrials / chemicals / cap goods / construction etc.

The team is close knit and highly regarded in the space, making this a great opportunity for someone to build their long term career and reputation as an Equity Research Analyst.

Your Responsibilities :

Conducting research on a range of companies within the Chemicals universe, attendance at company presentations, attendance of meetings with company management, researching company accounts / reports and other sources and drafting research notes

Financial modelling and valuation

Conducting client meetings and calls in order to present stock recommendations

Undertaking various tasks associated with the research function, updating databases, reviewing and archiving research material.

Attending company presentations

Your Profile :

Previous experience as an Equity Research Analyst covering their own stocks, in either a buy or sell-side role

Prior knowledge of chemicals or industrials sector preferred but not essential, also very open to prior coverage in relaively cycilcial sectors such as consumer, construction, etc.

Comfortable calling and meeting clients, willingness to communicate frequently over the phone

Financial modelling expertise combined iwth strong and credible presentation skills

Excellent attention to detail;

Degree level education or equivalent experience required;

Advanced IT skills, including all standard Office applications;

CFA is highly regarded
