Your role

As part of this role you will be responsible for helping our clients to identify and implement the most appropriate and efficient testing solutions for their needs, drawing upon our wide range of expertise and experience.

You will get the chance to work with top tier clients across a range of sectors, providing high quality test advisory and delivery services.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Working with our firm’s industry, proposition and Testing leads to develop and implement existing & new market propositions across a number of industry sectors.
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in Testing
  • Supporting the management of key client stakeholders' relationships and leading teams of Deloitte and client personnel
  • Taking responsibility for budgets (or portions of budgets), client deliverables and billing
  • Supporting the development of client bids and presentations of proposals.
  • Defining test strategies and approaches for large, complex or specialised client test delivery
  • Managing client test delivery, ensuring the testing meets quality, time and cost objectives
  • Providing advice on testing tools and leveraging them effectively within a testing activity
  • Reviewing test processes and practices and coaching the team on enhancement opportunities
  • Act as a role model - help to develop and mentor junior resources
  • To have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them;
  • have a clear understanding of Deloitte’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture

    Location :

    Your home office will be Glasgow, but this client-facing role provides lots of opportunity for travel in the UK and overseas.

    Work pattern :

    This is a permanent opportunity. Although, our team members work a variety of agile working patterns. Tell us what arrangement works for you and we will try to accommodate.

    Your professional experience

    To qualify for the role Senior Managers must have :

  • Deep industry or sector specific expertise gained in complex client-facing environments
  • The ability to develop solutions and value adding propositions and take these to market
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, business writing and professional skills, including being able to liaise with both technical and business contacts at clients
  • Experience of managing, strengthening and broadening key client relationships
  • Experience of functional system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing and non-functional testing including performance and automation
  • ISTQB Foundation Level certificate (or equivalent experience)
  • Test management tool expertise (such as HP ALM)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and often changeable client environment
  • Ensure timely sign off of all testing documentation and entry / exit criteria
  • Own risks and issues around testing processes, tools and resources
  • Strong academic record
  • Demonstrable rapid career progression to-date
  • Additional desirable experience includes :

  • A proven track record in a top tier consultancy
