The team in this state-of-the-art Critical Care Unit provides excellent and compassionate care to patients with a wide range of complex needs.
As the Sister / Charge Nurse for our Critical Care unit at The Harley Street Clinic, you will provide clinical leadership in the delivery of the service.
You will be an innovative leader that can inspire and influential influence quality care and develop the team overall. Deputising for the Unit Manager, you will oversee the day to day clinical operations of the department, acting as an expert practitioner and role model, assisting your junior colleagues to develop advanced knowledge and skills to benefit the treatment and care of critically ill patients in our hospital.
Outreach We are proposing to implement a 24 / 7 Critical Care Outreach service at the Harley Street Clinic .The Outreach post will be integral in reviewing patients who are deteriorating on the wards to ensure that they receive timely and appropriate treatment as well as supporting Critical Care patients following discharge from the Critical Care.
The ability to carry out a comprehensive patient assessment and recognise areas of concern is essential. The ability to communicate clearly is a necessary skill as not only will the individual be involved in emergency situations but an important part of the role is to educate and support ward staff.
The individual will be an important part of the Critical Care staff and as such will work clinically in this area. The post holder will be required to provide excellent assessment and observation skills of critically ill patients in a variety of clinical settings.
A good professional leadership quality is imperative to ensure the care of the critically ill patient is optimised. Skills & Experience Registered General Nurse Management qualification / Experience Advanced respiratory ventilation, cardiovascular Experience of working in ICU or Critical care Care ALS (Will be provided upon appointment if not already in possession) Cardiothoracic, General, Liver, oncology or Neuro experience in an ICU environment ITU / Critical Care course HCA Healthcare UK World’s largest private acute and complex care hospital group with a network of the capital’s most respected and long-established private hospitals.
