We have exciting opportunities in our Meggitt Plc Systems Integration and Prelim Design team based in Coventry. This team works closely with a wide range of Meggitt Businesses as well as with our customers, suppliers and partners giving team members a unique, holistic insight into our product development and technology programmes, as well as the business cases that support them.
The team conducts system modelling to understand the future design architectures of our customer’s products, giving us a high quality understanding of their requirements for future mini-
systems’ and components that Meggitt may develop. The team then works with Meggitt business units to develop concept designs for these mini-
systems’ and components, as well as building and delivering technology programmes to realise them.
Currently the Thermal Systems AR&T programme is the main activity that the team is working on. This is a major investment by Meggitt, with considerable external funding, to deliver step change’ technology for fuel-
oil heat exchangers, air-oil heat exchangers, automated manufacture of composite ducting, variable flow valves and an air-
oil mini system. This programme will deliver technology to TRL6 and MCRL4 by 2020 ready for the next generation of large civil turbofan engines.

Key Skills and Competencies Required :
We are looking for an engineer from early career level through to individuals with 15 years’ plus experience with some previous hands on’ involvement in aero-thermal engineering.
Multi-disciplinary skills, flexibility and some domain knowledge of gas turbine engine heat exchangers and other thermal systems components would be an advantage.
