About the role

The Pricing Manager is responsible for providing operational leadership to implement the pricing strategy as defined by the Commercial Excellence Manager which includes pricing execution tracking, reporting whilst adhering to the governance process that will promote profitable growth across the whole product portfolio.

That includes, processes, tools and KPI’s in BDB related to the following principal areas as :

Implementation of strategic pricing

Monitoring governance

Leading the training and implementation of pricing strategies

Implement, maintain and upgrade as appropriate all pricing tools.

The position will work closely with the Country analysts and Regional Marketing Leaders to optimize the pricing strategies across the region.

Main responsibilities will include :

Assist, maintain and monitor regional product pricing policies, including governance and price corridors based on standard BD pricing methodologies to ensure regional and local pricing are aligned with BU objectives and standard BD pricing & profitability expectations and related initiatives.

Partner with EMEA Sales, Marketing and service functions to develop tools and educate staff on the tools that capture customer willingness-to-pay and drive profitable growth.

Develop influencing collaborations across the business to ensure optimal pricing strategies are trained and adopted

Monitor local adherence to agreed pricing strategies for all product lines

Actively participate in the EMEA pricing council to assist in the review of pricing performance and generate research and action plans.

Deliver training to assist in the onboarding of pricing champions within the EMEA business unit to enhance pricing, contract, and tender capabilities

Develop process improvements to support regional product and instrument harmonization

Assist in the development of regional pricing exception critical issue and approval procedures

Provide guidance to countries and assist in the development of procedures for unusual pricing issues and discount structures

Lead the pricing analysis for the business unit, implementing the key metrics and delivering required reporting to all key stakeholders, in line with the pricing initiatives

Build a framework to gather competitive pricing intelligence across EMEA

Implement a framework for distributor pricing and monitoring

Give with customer and competitive insights in business strategy development

Drive adoption of EMEA pricing policies and processes within the business unit

Assist and deliver the annual pricing policy process including the analysis and tracking of profitable growth

About you

Pricing management, business governance experience and understanding of financial concepts relevant to business planning.

Possesses strong, expert knowledge in advanced strategic pricing models and tools including the required mathematical modeling expertise

Prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex global organization ideally in life science or med tech

2-3 years minimum pricing management related experience

Confirmed history in influencing commercial teams to deliver growth through price and profitability management

Fluent in English, written and spoken

Highly proficient in the use of Excel and PowerBI with experience of building strategic dashboards

Experience in working with a CRM, SAP / ERP, Vendavo

Strong interpersonal skills and able to demonstrate partnership skills to collaborate with internal / external customers and communicate at all levels

Expert analytical and problem-solving orientation & proactive attitude to change processes as needed

Experienced in working in a diverse multi-cultural environment

Project management experience, working in cross-functional initiatives

Strong analytical and data management skills, and experience in statistical techniques

Tender excellence win / loss tracking, and pricing intelligence research experience is an advantage

Proven history in influencing Commercial teams to deliver growth through price and profitability management

Experience and / or ability to work and navigate in a matrix environment

Experience in building strong relationships within cross functional teams

Process driven with focus on delivery of results
