As the Paysafe Group grows and expands, the Compliance function must expand with it and adapt to ever-changing business processes and stricter regulatory and other requirements.

Compliance must also constantly push for ways to execute their responsibilities faster and more efficiently so as to enable the business while also delivering fully compliant processes.

The Compliance Strategy and Advisory team is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying gaps in compliance to relevant regulatory / other external or internal requirements, and implementing projects to ensure compliance across Paysafe Group.

This team is the main Compliance point of contact for all business units and will provide Compliance Advisory services on existing and new products and services, projects, and new markets.

The team is also responsible for defining new and better ways to achieve our regulatory obligations and other compliance objectives while at the same time improving customer experience and enabling our business.

This role in particular will work as a liaison with the Digital Wallets business unit in Paysafe.

Responsibilities

The Compliance Officer for Digital Wallets will be required to :

  • Act as a single point of contact for Compliance Advisory for Digital Wallets, providing guidance on Compliance requirements
  • Work closely with Digital Wallets to understand their business model, software tools, and products so as to be able to advise them on how best to implement Compliance requirements
  • Support the review of existing payment partner relationships and the onboarding of new partners
  • Help develop our Product and Compliance approach to the Crypto industry
  • Identify opportunities to enable our business through better and more efficient compliance with external requirements
  • Work with other Compliance Officers to promote best practices across the Paysafe Group
  • Review current status of compliance to external requirements in Digital Wallets and identify areas where efficiency improvements are possible
  • Work with the Head of Compliance Strategy & Advisory and with the Compliance Project Manager to define projects
  • Maintain visibility of all areas of compliance within Digital Wallets and monitor implementation of projects
  • Act as liaison with PMO, Product, Risk, the Business, and other Compliance teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and delivered
  • Coordinate with Regulatory Compliance and with Card Scheme Compliance to fully understand existing and upcoming requirements and their impact on business units
  • Any other duties deemed necessary both now and in the future to meet the business needs
  • Requirements

  • Previous experience in financial services industry
  • Previous experience in Compliance or Risk roles
  • Previous experience in remittance roles or with remittance products will be considered an advantage
  • Previous experience in Crypto currencies will be considered an advantage
  • Strong understanding of Compliance, Risk and Controls frameworks and policies
  • Comfortable working independently, with a proactive mindset
  • Fast learner, able to quickly understand business processes and identify gaps
  • Ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously and ensure delivery within deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong influencer, able to persuade senior stakeholders and ensure compliance to policies
  • Comfortable working with senior management across the business
  • Willing to travel to Group offices in Europe and North America
