The Weymouth & Portland Urgent Treatment Centre is open 8am 8pm, 7 days per week. We are a busy service and treated over 33,200 patients last year.
We assess and treat patients with a variety urgent conditions and minor injuries. We are committed to provide high quality care to patients preventing admissions to the Emergency Department.
Our skilled multidisciplinary clinical team consists of Paramedic and Nurse Practitioners, skilled Health Care Assistants and Doctors.
We are seeking a Triage Practitioner (Registered Nurse or Paramedic) to join our friendly team to work 24 hours per week.
Our Triage Practitioners assess all new patients, prioritise care and when appropriate discharge patients from our service and provide some primary care services.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The DBS levies a charge of £40 and the Trust will recover this cost in instalments from your first 3 salary payments.
This will only apply to candidates who are new to the Trust and not internal staff.
Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service and are able to present a valid DBS certificate will not incur a charge.
