The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe caring and respectful way. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Communications Department for a highly motivated Communications Assistant to join our team.
As a member of the busy Communications Department you will be responsible for helping to deliver an effective communications strategy which supports the aims and objectives of NHS Ayrshire and Arran.
This is to ensure excellent integrated communications with patients public staff other partner organisations and the media.
You will assist the Communications Manager to provide a media relations service in order to give fast accurate and considered responses to media enquiries and requests for information.
You may be required to take part in the on call rota which provides a 24 / 7 media response service. This will be for one week out of four.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as Media Journalism and Public Relations and will have some experience of working in a communications / PR / media environment.
