Home Instead Senior Care is the world’s leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people.
With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide.
We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support.
We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport.
CAREGiving is a worthwhile career waiting to happen! Do you have a warm heart but an astute mind that can determine if one of your clients is off colour?
Be decisive enough to take appropriate action if necessary, If so then we would like to hear from you.
The reality is that it is rare that you will need to make these decisions, most days run smoothly for both you and the people you care for.
You are probably more likely to sit down and have a cup of tea and a cosy chat than dialling emergency services but we do need people that are not fearful of making decisions, and who understand that the job they are doing is important and is of great value.
We hold great score by our training record and when we take you on you are given award winning training to enable you to fully understand and appreciate what you need to do, this includes training in CPR, dementia and many more CAREGiving skills.
We monitor and shadow you so you are never left in doubt or uncertainty, we make sure you are comfortable in your job and know what is expected of you and we are always at the end of the telephone, day and evenings to offer support if needed.
We are seeking new people to join our CAREGiving team and who can work a mixture of shifts that range from 8.00am-2.00pm and 4.
00pm-10.00pm with some shifts covering alternate weekends. Shift times are not set in stone we can always work flexibly, with and around your other committments.
You must have your own transport because sometimes our clients live in locations that are difficult to get to by public transport, you must also reside in our area of operation which is Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Brookmans Park and Borehamwood and surrounding areas or villages.
We need people with a warm heart and an easy approach to life and it's challenges but with an abundance of common sense and excellent decision making abilities.
It is important that you have clear spoken communication skills this is because some clients have dementia and hearing loss, and they can struggle sometimes to understand what is being said to them.
You must have transport and live in our local area for the reasons previously given.
You must have the desire to succeed and to make a difference.
