Line of Business : Central Risk Book (CRB)

Central Risk Book (CRB) is a client facilitating desk, making markets in Single Stocks and Delta 1 products like ETFs and Sector Swaps.

It uses quantitative frameworks and data analysis to price, hedge and unwind risk. CRB is also intended to be a service for liquidating risk positions acquired by other trading desks in EES.

It aims to achieve more efficient risk management by using the inherent diversification of risk from various sources, optimised hedging, and re-

advertising portions of this inventory back to the floor to facilitate clients

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Trader to assist in overseeing and monitoring trading on the CRB platform. To manage daily risks from CRB trades, interaction with the rest of the floor.

Handle exceptional situations (market volatility, systems failure) proactively and in cooperation with partners. Communicate with CRB team, especially senior members, and keep them abreast of details and overall picture of risk and flows.

Contribute in improving the platform and help with quantitative and technical tasks and projects from time to time.


  • Oversee CRB trading platforms and monitor and react to risk
  • Take over manual hedging if need be
  • React to exceptional events know the platform intimately to help control partners solve issues
  • Assisting in the pricing and hedging of larger transactions
  • Coordinate and communicate with High Touch sales and trading in the context of facilitating this flow
  • Help oversee the firm’s Low Touch SI platform,
  • Required to identify and implement controlled streamlining of operational processes
  • Developing a close working relationship with the rest of the trading floor, technology and ops
  • Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a numerical subject
  • Experience in a trading role, ideally in Delta1 / Portfolio / Cash products in Europe
  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills are required
  • Knowledge of electronic trading systems and use of automated quoting and trading infrastructure
  • Knowledge of some programming and analytical languages like Python / R / Java / C highly desirable
  • Ability to price and manage risk, with some supervision, and handle pressure
  • Demonstrate ability to identify issues, evaluate large sets of data and generate ideas based on this analysis
  • Meticulous attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams / individuals
