The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity at our Thornbury Agency, just outside of Bristol for a positive, friendly, customer focused candidate who’s looking for opportunities within the Insurance and Financial Services sector as a Customer Support Adviser.

As a Customer Support Adviser, you will contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Branch, identifying and pursuing opportunities to contribute to the achievement of the Branch targets including personal sales, lead generation and meeting customer service standards.

Job Specification

  • Review and process amendments to policies arising from changes to cover and circumstance, seeking opportunities for cross-
  • selling, meeting the customer service standards and ensuring cover is appropriate.

  • Deliver and contribute to the effective and efficient running of the Branch including managing and directing correspondence, processing renewals, stationery and filing, maintain customer relationships, enhance and protect NFU Mutual’s reputation and brand.
  • Identify, analyse and collate data relating to existing customers to generate prospects for General Insurance products and potential cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collate, analyse and evaluate information for existing customers to promote and sell, commercial and private General Insurance products.
  • Investigate, consult and process claims, applying criteria to prevent loss and fraud.
  • Check, process and manage transactions, including policy cancellation refunds and non-payment of premiums, to prevent loss, meet customer service standards and maintain profitable growth.
  • Maintain own knowledge and skills to sell professionally and compliantly, delivering a consistently good experience to customers.
  • Person Specification

    The successful candidate should have the following :

  • Ability to thrive in a small busy team working environment.
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • The following experience would be beneficial but is not necessary :

  • Customer facing experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Qualifications

    Candidates will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or above (or 4 to 9).
