DIRECTOR, CORPORATE BRAND PRACTICE Reports to : Head of Practice Location : LondonPractice Directors are a key part of the senior management team and have a critical role in determining the long-term success of the Practice to which they are allocated.

This role is designed for an ambitious senior operator with extensive corporate communications experience a proven best of class consultant, business manager and team leader.

Directors have a responsibility within a key area of business - for example : business communications, corporate, consumer, healthcare, digital etc.

as well as the development of vertical or horizontal PR markets such as sustainability, tech, retail, manufacturing etc.

They will also lead company-wide initiatives to develop new products, services or IP. You are good at New business development ·Organic growth - actively volunteering ideas / solutions as add on services to increase fee income.

Participating in selling new projects - including relating to emergent industry trends and topics such as ESG & reputation management ·Lead generation - proactively driving the development of the company client base, helping to identify potential new clients via networking, active development of contacts and promotion such as speaker opportunities ·Proposal writing - understanding complex businesses and their issues for the purpose of compiling well written proposal and pitches ·New business & pitch involvement a strong presenter that can lead new business / organic growth and maintain a portfolio of clients whilst simultaneously developing new leads and attending pitches Internal company management ·Connecting with and utilising the full force of Zeno Global understanding the full picture of Zeno global capabilities and how the practices interlock.

Be an active ambassador for integrated working and a one team’ approach including being a leader of insights and data-driven communications·Leadership / company ambassador - taking every opportunity to celebrate the company and individual achievements.

  • Integrated communications- ensure your team demonstrates and actively pursues best practice knowledge and application of cross channel storytelling including the latest digital, data and analytics tools and techniques from across the network and global Corporate Practice Portfolio & line management ·Client retention - remain committed to retaining clients through developing strong relationships with all client contacts ·Capacity planning - understand the resourcing needs for each client, think and plan ahead to avoid reduced billing or under resourcing and over servicing ·Practice meetings - a proactive leader in the Practice and other internal meetings, deputising for the Head of Practice when required.
  • Support staff engagement initiatives and proactively implement / support staff retention strategies·Line management - act as a super line manager to staff within your Practice, ensure that appraisals are conducted on time, always follow up actions.

    Be a valued and trustworthy member of the senior team ·Staff retention - develop a good staff retention record with those you line manage by developing relationships and demonstrating efficient line management skills ·Mentor / advisor - be a proactive mentor, be an approachable and available leader ·Staff development - share knowledge and expertise as a means of developing employees.

  • Recruitment and selection - take a full and active role in the recruitment of new employees·Culture - play a visible role in company-wide culture and initiatives.
  • For example DE&I, socials, client entertaining and marketing the company Client relations ·Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with senior level clients and enhance the company's reputation as a leader in the area of business communications and corporate reputation·Strategic counsel - demonstrate clear strategic thinking, remain one step ahead of the client in recommending value add programme ideas ·Generate ideas - contribute new ideas for media pitches, proposals / client plans and new business pitches.

    Ensure your ideas reflect your solid working knowledge of the wider marketing mix and the role PR can play in shaping brand and reputation ·Issues management predict and identify client problems and be ready to deal with any crisis and action appropriately and using Zeno’s latest IP and tools PR & communications skills ·PR planning - determine course of action for the whole team on client programmes, set timescales and reasonable deadlines allowing for unexpected problems.

  • Developing compelling PR content ensure all team members are abreast of best PR practice. As a minimum, be able to develop and oversee complex stakeholder communications and channel agnostic storytelling ·Media liaison demonstrate strong media expertise and where applicable senior media relationships ·International programme management - become efficient at running pan-European and global PR programmes and new business pitches 3 Monkeys Zeno is the UK arm of Zeno Group, the global creative communications consultancy, born from PR.
