An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Manager to join a water technology company based in West Wales.
As the Procurement Manager, you will deliver legally compliant sourcing contracts and manage our clients entire supply chain, ensuring accurate ordering, timely delivery to meet project deadlines, value for money and agreeable terms.
Skilled in the use of a broad set of analytical tools the Sourcing Manager will identify current and future sourcing needs and deliver industry leading future focussed sourcing strategies to guarantee quality goods and services, OTIF delivery at best price.
The role will involve :
Acting as a Procurement & Contract Management manager, communicating effectively and professionally across all levels of the organisation and its associated supply chains.
Managing key stakeholder relationships to facilitate the timely delivery of equipment and spares aligned to current and future business demands
Work closely with the Project Managers to match equipment and services to requirement.
Ensuring economic, environmental and ethical risks are assessed and appropriately mitigated across the supply chain and throughout the sourcing lifecycle
Ensuring sourcing initiatives are delivered in compliance with current regulations and Internal Governance
Creating and maintaining a comprehensive programme of sourcing support for the designated projects within their allocated budget.
Managing complex / high value sourcing initiatives that present a significant risk to the organisation
Providing advice, guidance and support to the wider business to ensure compliance and enhance commercial awareness across the organisation
Capturing all benefits and achieve target savings to allow budget adjustments to be realised
Managing and maintaining all sourcing reporting obligations as required
Skills and experience
You will have relevant experience in the water industry
You will have supply chain (procurement) experience in an industrial setting.
You will be a team player who enables others to perform and has a demonstrated ability to use the skills of others to deliver results
You will have the resilience & drive to achieve results through determination and commitment
You will have a comprehensive understanding of the implications of relevant legislation in Procurement.
A Full UK driving licence and a comprehensive understanding and application of the use of the Microsoft Office suite is required for the role
