Could you help provide support to asylum seekers and refugees in the Cardiff area?

We have a great opportunity to join our Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team based in Cardiff, working on our Family Reunion Integration Service (FRIS) project.

As part of the Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team, the Casework Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and delivering casework services for reunited families in the area and will undertake a range of duties designed to develop, maintain, and promote the service.

As one of eight areas delivering the Family Reunion Integration Service, there is a responsibility to link, collaborate and share with peers, particularly in "twinned" areas working on the same connectedness lens.

About the Project

Family Reunion is a key legal route through which refugees obtain protection in the UK.

This project is the UK's first national programme of integration support for reunited families. The British Red Cross will lead a partnership with Barnardo's and Queen Margaret University to provide holistic integration support to 3,000 people arriving through Family Reunion in eight locations in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

This will be complemented by a Research, Learning and Capacity Building work stream to explore research points, improve practice, and influence policy.

This project has been part-funded by the European Union Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund. Making management of migration flows more efficient across the European Union.

This role might be for you if...

You have an understanding of issues relating to asylum seekers, refugees and vulnerable migrants (including rights and entitlements) and have experience of supporting refugees to integrate in the UK, providing sensitive, safe and empowering support to distressed people in vulnerable situations.

You're a team player; you're able to work as part of a team within what can sometimes be a high-pressure environment. You will have experience of cross-

agency partnership and collaborative working.

You're organised; you have great time management, planning, prioritising and monitoring you own work as well as others with experience of delivering casework with vulnerable clients.

You're a great communicator with the ability to adapt your communication based on the audience. You will be IT literate and have the ability to use email, word processing, database and spreadsheet packages.
