We are seeking a Head North Europe. This position will own the cluster strategy and business operations. As the region head, you will build and lead a highly experienced team of Key Account Management, Market Access, and Sales to successfully drive the business.

This position reports to the European GM and will be part of the EU Leadership team.

You will add value by :

  • Establishing and owning the execution of the strategic regional business plan.
  • Establishing, designing and hiring your own team. Thereafter, leading with the highest standard of the Novavax leadership, values and team-spirited expectations.
  • Ensuring each member of your team is providing the highest level of service to all customers in accordance with respective Global and Regional Teams.
  • Leading the Market Access execution locally in collaboration with the Global and European Market Access teams.
  • Developing, leading, and executing sales & pull through strategies, plans and initiatives to achieve sales objectives, and increase market share.
  • Working closely with Global and Regional Marketing to develop and execute the campaigns and communication tactics including digital and new technologies.
  • Monitoring competitive activity to ensure Novavax is abreast of new developments in the marketplace at the regional level.
  • Ensuring compliance with Novavax Global and Regional guidelines as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Coordinating directly with Novavax commercial counterparts and / or established partners to ensure that adequate access, coverage / reimbursement, and supply chain is in place to facilitate product availability in your countries.
  • Working closely cross-functionally to uncover regional business trends, opportunities, and needed resources to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Building key customer relationships with existing and future customers.
  • Owning your countries Launch Excellence Plan (LEP) for both commercial and pipeline assets
  • Working closing with Global Policy Team to lead in country policy strategy representing Novavax with relevant policymakers, associations, and Advisory boards where permissible.
  • Supporting Business / Corporate Development initiatives throughout your countries
  • Representing the assigned region within Novavax Sr. leadership
  • You will add value with :

  • Minimum of 10 yrs. successful experience in leadership positions with emphasis on customer-facing roles (Sales, Marketing and Market Access).
  • General Management experience highly desired or second in command’ min 5 years experience required.

  • Minimum of 15 yrs. extensive commercial experience in the Biotech and / or pharmaceutical industry. 5 yrs. Vaccine-specific experience.
  • B.A. / B.S. required MBA / PhD preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and goals - in a complex and dynamic market.
  • Must be located within the assigned region and speaks a minimum of one assigned country language, including English proficiency.
  • Experienced in start-up environment.
  • Strong collaborative, highly customer focused, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thrives in changing and ambiguous environments requiring flexibility, agility, and creativity.
  • Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills. Experience building and leading effective teams.
  • Robust understanding of the assigned country (ies) pharmaceutical / vaccine law, codes and regulations as well as vaccines Technical Operations in order to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
