Job title : Stores Officer

Location : Yarls Wood IRC, Clapham

Salary : £19,.24 per annum, plus Serco benefits

Working hours : Full-Time, 40 hours per week

As the Stores Officer your key accountabilities will include :

  • To observe all statutory health and hygiene regulations and reporting any hazards you may encounter in your place of work
  • To undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required
  • To escort deliveries into and out of the Centre
  • To check deliveries against purchase orders and highlight any problems
  • To action the return of goods with Suppliers and maintain accurate records
  • To issue stock as required in accordance with Company Procedures
  • To deal with stock invoice queries
  • To monitor stock movement within Stores
  • To conduct stock takes
  • To maintain COSHH Data Sheets for items within the Centre Store
  • To assist with administration duties
  • Stock rotation at all times
  • Work closely with finance team to review stock and adhere to limit controls
  • Provide monthly reports on stock usage and how best to manage stock for the following month
  • Generate Purchase Orders, working with the finance team to ensure smooth processing and completion
  • Promote equal opportunities and zero tolerance to any form of discrimination
  • Maintaining security processes and dynamics in the area of work
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are closely followed.
