The group’s growing presence in energy is driven by our core fluid controls, heat management and sensing and monitoring capabilities, many of which are deployed to help reduce the maintenance costs, fuel consumption and carbon emissions of industrial gas and steam turbines.

Purpose :

To project manage the transition to digital ways of working within the manufacturing function in order to improve processes, drive quality up and to increase insight.

The role will be focused on supporting Meggitt sites globally (UK & US) in building capability and competence with the platform (Visual Factory) through the deployment of best practices to enable and accelerate our ability to take full advantage of the technology.

Responsibilities :

  • Providing technical leadership on the setup, implementation and usage of digital working instructions
  • Development of best practices and training materials on the usage and authoring of work instructions within the platform (Visual Factory)
  • Supporting sites in the deployment of DWI as well as training site teams
  • Supporting the enterprise design of system and other required IT blueprints
  • Leading Meggitt communities of best practice for DWIs
  • Identify areas for improvement within the system and test out new functionality and modules before they are deployed at sites
  • Play a pivotal role in the integration of DWI in intelligent workbenches
  • Key skills and competencies required :

  • Experince of working within Production, Manufacturing or Engineering
  • Experience of Process Improvement within a Quality environment
  • Experience of working within Manufacturing Systems (Developing, deploying or maintaining - manufacturing systems / Manufacturing Execution Systems / digital technologies)
  • Experience of creating, inputting into or deploying a plan or roadmap
  • Degree qualified
  • Desirable skills :

  • Passion for digital technology and the opportunities they can bring to companies
  • Previously worked on the deployment of digital technologies into production environments
  • Manufacturing environment for complex high value products
  • Other :

  • Travel will be required to site deploying this technology and future deployments
