Role Purpose :
Assist the Consolidation Manager to work with and coordinate all site financial teams to ensure financial reporting conforms to financial rules and overriding principles set by the group.
The role :
Assist with the coordination of the financial input from different sites in different regions (America, Europe, Asia).
Flexibility and availability to provide support before / after normal European business hours by either working remotely or extra hours in the office.
Dealing with cultural differences in a minimally structured environment.
Assist with the monthly KPI slide package of consolidated financial results on EBITDA, Working Capital and Cashflow including latest forecasts to allow the Board of Directors to make informed business decisions.
Contribute to the analysis of the financial results, challenge, investigate trends / variances and work with the finance teams to provide full explanations to provide understanding to the key stakeholders to enable the business to effectively manage risk, understand business performance and improve overall results.
Support the Global Consolidation Manager with any development, improvements and maintenance of the financial reporting models used in the consolidation of financial results (America, Europe, Asia) to ensure internal reporting meets management and the board expectations and provides a basis for all Group reporting.
Identify errors, find solutions and implement those solutions to achieve a high level, accurate and consistent reporting across the finance teams.
Report, control and forecast the central costs and the holding and financing entities for the Petchem business as well as upload the reporting entities into HYPERION.
Ensure financials reconcile to HYPERION Group reporting tool.
Assist with the consolidation of global budgets / business / strategy plans. Work with the Finance Managers to understand the gross margin, fixed costs and cash flow submissions, and build financial bridges and detailed supporting information for discussions within Group.
Responsible for annual global submissions to Group, including but not limited to insurance, turnover, IFRS data capture, bonus, goodwill and refinancing.
Organise the month end and budget timelines to ensure they meet the Group reporting deadlines.
Prepare financial modeling for ad hoc projects.
Work with other functions to provide information, share knowledge and understanding of data as and when required.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including banks, auditors, local authorities and financing partners.
Periodically perform other financial duties, projects and activities as required by the senior management team.
Qualified ACA / ACCA with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, or equivalent Bachelors’ degree or designation with practical financial accounts experience.
The role requires a sound technical accounting knowledge and strong understanding of the integrated nature of financial reporting, with a strong working knowledge of regional GAAP rules, to be capable of understanding local country results and consolidate into global results.
The jobholder will also be required to have well developed PC skills; and expert knowledge of SAP and HYPERION.
