What we expect from you

Each JoJo store is unique whether that’s trading over two floors, having a quirky layout or being situated in an interesting place.

They have a life of their own. As one of our Assistant Store Managers, you will work very closely with your Store Manager to make your store the very best it can be.

We like our Assistant Managers to own a lot of the operational side of store management, so you get real life exposure to this part of retail.

You will need to be adaptable, flexible, and responsible because sometimes you must do whatever is necessary to make sure your store runs smoothly.

Our Unique Selling Point (USP) in this ever-changing retail world is the relationship we build with our customers, many of them loyal to our brand and to their local store team.

You will work closely with the team making sure they offer the very best customer service, product knowledge and information they can to all customers.

You will get exposure in helping your manager with appraising and developing team members, to make sure they are continuously engaged and motivated, so customers always experience a fun, lively and welcoming store environment.

A day in the life :

  • Work closely with the team making sure our customers are being introduced to our multi-channel offerings at every opportunity.
  • Work with your store manager to achieve forecasted sales, sharing ideas on how any shortfall in target can be met.
  • Engage all team members in achieving store or personal targets. Offering advice on how to increase ATV or UPT sales opportunities.
  • Use all digital and virtual learning platforms to increase personal knowledge.
  • Be an ambassador of self-development, encouraging team members towards self-learning and development.
  • Uphold our B-Corp principles in every aspect of your role.
  • Help our customers in many different and sometimes diverse situations, from the intimate situation of bra measuring through to demonstrating a product or processing a customer transaction using a variety of selling platforms.
  • Perform most of the store operational and administrative duties.
  • Learn about our products and feel confident about sharing your knowledge with the team and our customers.
  • Actively listen to our customers’ needs and working out what the best solution is for them.
  • Taking pride in keeping your store looking immaculate.
  • Upholding these expectations in your Store Manager’s absence.
  • What we look for in you

  • Previous experience as a team leader or supervisor within a retail environment.
  • Previous customer service and sales experience.
  • An aptitude towards team development and training would be useful.
  • Analyse data and implement change
  • We don’t like hard sales techniques, but you’ll need to demonstrate a level of sales ability, which includes active listening skills, empathy, and an understanding of our customers’ needs.
  • Competent IT skills and excellent systems ability, with an aptitude to pick up new systems quickly.
  • You will be a great communicator and you’ll work with the team to create a harmonious and respectful environment.
  • We like to keep our stores looking tip top, so you’ll have a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident, and proactive communicator
