The Position

Bluebird Care East Staffs & South Derbyshire are committed to helping people live full, independent and dignified lives within the comfort of their own homes and are looking for dedicated and hardworking people to help us do this.

We are seeking to expand our team of highly trained and professional Community Care Assistants to work within the community of Burton-on-Trent, Uttoxeter, Cheadle and the surrounding areas.

We currently have part time positions available.

Applicants need to have a full driving licence and their own car as well as a full working permit for the UK.

A professional, committed and responsible attitude is fundamental to this role as well as a genuine care for others. No prior experience is necessary as we provide full training in care and offer support to all members of our team to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

    Tasks

    The role may involve some or all of the following. (This is not intended as a complete list and is supplied for information only)

  • Assist customers to get up dressing and preparing them for their day
  • Washing, bathing, showering, oral care, grooming
  • Toileting, assisting with use of commode, continence management
  • Using manual handling equipment as specified
  • Working with other care professionals such as district nurses, GPs, etc.
  • Assisting with prescribed medication
  • Assist customers to go to bed, including undressing and washing
  • Preparation of meals and assistance with feeding
  • General household duties including shopping
  • Bed making and laundry
  • To keep accurate records of care visits
  • Social outings for example football matches, theatre, cinema, day trips etc...
