The Role

This role is responsible for architecting Big Data workflows for the Veeva Link suite of products. Link is a Cloud software running on AWS, using all modern Big Data components (Apache Spark, Airflow, AWS Sagemaker) on the backend and a MEAN stack on the frontend.

The Big Data Architect will make sure that new requirements are mapped to the best possible end to end architecture to ensure reliable, extensible, and high-performance data processing.

What You'll Do

Design solutions to address pipeline requirements across the entire stack

Ensure efficient and reliable data architecture for maximum performance and security

Ensure high scalability and extensibility to scale up and out with minimal effort

Choose and implement the right AWS architecture, i.e. Redshift, Dynamo, Mongo, S3, and MEAN stack

Prototype new data streaming or batching pipelines and workflows

Use Machine Learning or rule-based models to implement transformations

Guide the team on all architectural decisions

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a data architect

3+ years of experience as a software engineer

Proficiency with state-of-the-art technologies like Spark, (No-)SQL DBs, AWS or Azure, ML frameworks, Python

Agile mindset
