Providing pro-active support in ensuring that the production is at an appropriate level to the requirements of the company, Safety & Environmental Policies.Main Responsibilities :
Great ability to manage a production team
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
Be able to implement new lean manufacturing principles
Ensure that all processes are followed through by those within the production team
Drive KPI’s and understand the importance of them
Complete KPI reports and understand the data within them
Responsible for line management of permanent staff and contractors
Ensure department are performing their duties as per company polices and industry standards.
To supervise and monitor maintenance contractors and staff ensuring they are carrying out work to set / expected standards of performance.
Monitor all manufacturing machinery to ensure that it is running efficiently and waste free
Responsible for contacting and arranging maintenance or repairs of services / equipment under contract and those not under contract.
Assist in reviewing department and external contractor risk assessments and method statements.
Carry out spot checks of external contractor work.
To help the Facilities and Depot Infrastructure Manager manage and monitor the effectiveness of service provider’s service agreements / contracts.
Assist as required by LinePerson Profile / Experience :
Ability to manage and challenge a production team
Good knowledge of lean manufacturing
Experience of Health and Safety requirements within a production environment
Must possess relevant computer skills to include good working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications word / excel and be willing to learn bespoke ICT systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Able to represent Company in a professional manner at all times
Good team worker
Ability to train and supervise lower-level employees.
