An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Psychologist to join the Adult Mental Health Specialty in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will support the continued development and provision of specialist psychological services to adults living in Torfaen.
We are looking for a dynamic and inspiring psychologist who can not only deliver high quality assessment, formulation and intervention but can also help others do the same.
The post is designed to support the provision of services across the Borough from the Community Team to our Acute facilities as we work towards a whole system approach.
The successful candidate would be joining a friendly and welcoming Community Mental HealthTeam as well as a cohesive Psychology specialty with a commitment to personal and professional development and a robust sense of professional identity.
We have strong interests and highly specialist skills in a range of psychological therapies including CAT, DBT, MBT, EMDR and MBCT and welcome applications from individuals who are keen to further develop their clinical expertise and their team working skills.
This is an exciting time for Adult Psychology in Aneurin Bevan Health Board as we work to find innovative ways of increasing access to Psychological Therapies supported by funding from Welsh Government.
The Psychology Department are especially connected to the commitment to delivering compassionate healthcare and, as such, regularly lead and contribute towards Schwartz Rounds and Compassion Circles, as well as taking local lead for supervision and reflective practice.
