Come and be a part of something special. About the role As Network Automation Test engineer you will test network automation use cases to ensure the quality, performance and reliability of development products for production and the end user.

Engage with engineering teams to ensure lab and pre-production environments are maintained to enable successful testing of automation use cases.

Support the Network Automation Team and business units to regression test use cases, ensuring validity with network upgrades and change.

Implement automated testing, a solid CI / CD pipeline and establish continuous improvements. Key Accountabilities

  • Test automation use cases following a structured CI / CD development process
  • Follow testing best practices and ensure high code quality
  • Document test outcomes to provide feedback into Development team
  • Work with wider Automation team to own and resolve bugs
  • Work with end user to support the adoption of automation
  • Ensure timely production build and deployment of use cases into BAU & production Required Minimum Experience
  • Significant Experience in software development, some of which focused on testing, ideally in a large Telco or IT company
  • Proven track record of delivering business benefits through automation activity
  • Working knowledge of Network automation tooling (e.g. Ansible, Python, Javascript etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Cisco's NSO orchestrator and Itential's IAP workflow engine
  • Experience working with CI / CD toolchain such as Jira, Gitlab, Jenkins
  • Ability to work with JSON, XML, YAML, and other data interchange formats Desirable Experience
  • Experience working in Networks or IT, especially with Cisco products
  • Knowledge of general network principles and technology in WAN and LAN infrastructures Other Relevant Skills
  • Knowledge of device and service modelling using YANG
  • Knowledge of common network automation services (e.g. NETCONF, REST APIs, etc.)
