Pay Rates Are : £5.53 for age 16 & 17 / £8.32 for age 18 to 20 / £8.91 for age 21 and over

The Government's Kickstart Scheme has meant that we have a new and exciting opportunity to offer you for 6 months as a Home Delivery Support Champion working within our Blakemore Retail (SPAR Stores) Division.

Under the scheme we will offer you a great incite into the business as well as thorough 'on-the-job' training, including food hygiene.

We will also offer you an opportunity to go through our Employability Skills Training, which will include supporting you with CV writing, applying for vacancies and interviewing techniques.

We also aim to prioritise our own permanent vacancies in the business, where suitable, for our Kickstart colleagues.

Reporting directly to the Store Management, you will support Home Delivery’ colleagues to maximise the new home delivery initiative within our SPAR retail stores, ensuring accurate customer ordering, excellent service delivery and customer experience.

Our stores offer a wide range of food-to-go options, including; Food To Go and Daily Deli as well as a number of franchise partners to increase the choice available to customers such as Subway & Greggs.

Key Accountabilities :

  • Supporting the home-delivery team through;
  • Checking of availability for on-line customers of listed store stock items
  • Ensuring accurate Out of Stock’ categorisation of non-available items
  • Assisting the picking team where necessary
  • Deliver Marketing / Promotion of the new home delivery service to customers / public
  • Where possible, assist delivery drivers with scheduled deliveries
  • Review customer experience feedback regarding the service, including the customer App service contains all the relevant promotions, bundle deals, range (including recommending further products to be included for home delivery menu)
  • Ensure feedback / review / escalation of home delivery issues as appropriate
