The successful candidate will support the planning function in creating and maintaining, short, medium and long term packing schedules.

The successful candidate will be responsible for capacity planning and sequencing of the packing lines to ensure efficient running order whilst always meeting customer due dates.

Role and Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks :

  • Planning and prioritising of packing lines, to ensure maximum performance whilst ensuring customer demand is being met on time.
  • Assist in managing short / medium and long term capacity of packing lines based on forecasts and current orders.
  • Monitor job completion on a daily basis and ensure that schedules are being planned on time and in full.
  • Monitor excess inventory and minimise obsolescence.
  • Communicate with customer services and demand management, any deviations in supply plan.
  • Report and escalate any issues preventing the business from meeting on time delivery to customers.
  • Measure schedule adherence on a weekly basis and root cause any deviations in schedule with a view to put preventative actions in place.
  • Essential criteria

  • At least 2 years previous experience in a similar planning role.
  • Ability to recognize the key process drivers and use this information to build production plans
  • Analytical skills, the ability to evaluate, analyse and present data.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Meticulous attention to detail & ability to drive flawless execution to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work and influence across organisational boundaries.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, decision making and presentation skills.
  • Customer focused must demonstrate previous ability to deliver CSL
  • Desirable criteria

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • Experience using Demand Solutions Requirements Planning System or similar MPS / MRP systems.
  • 2 years + experience of ERP systems ideally with involvement during system set up
  • Experience within the Pharmaceuticals industry or food manufacture
  • Project management / deliveryLeadership skills
