As a Technical Consultant supporting our lending capability, you will be working across multiple client projects, leading and supporting them through the delivery process for complex software solutions.
Acting as an advisor, you will ensure the consultancy team becomes a trusted partner, driving compelling solutions for our clients which exceed expectations.
Working with a variety of other technical teams across Iress, you will solve technical problems for existing and prospecting clients and take overall responsibility for planning, leading and facilitating workshops from initial requirements scoping, through to detailed design and delivery.
What you will be doing
Engaging with customers (new and existing) in respect of all technical aspects of our key strategic Lending solutions. This will include pre-sales support, presenting Iress architectures in client meetings and facilitating and delivering both face to face and virtual client workshops
Working with clients, partners and internal development teams to deliver the best solution possible, ensuring that all internal processes, procedures and technical assurance steps required for delivery of our products and solutions are implemented
Environment management and support of the deployment processes including; reviewing and suggesting process improvement, implementing changes as recommended, taking technical ownership of build processes as required and managing the associated deployment documentation
Documenting and managing the technical risks, technical assumptions and technical decisions made during the project lifecycle
Helping to identify additional sales opportunities and informing relevant internal sales teams
Actively working to support and deliver knowledge transfer within the team, especially to more junior colleagues
What you will need
You will need to be technically minded with a background in software engineering or IT Infrastructure. Knowledge of DevOps principles would be highly beneficial and you will be comfortable providing hands-on technical support and consultancy to clients
CI / CD tools such as TeamCity or Jenkins, Cloud technologies (ideally AWS), web enterprise applications (ideally in a .
Net environment) and Service Orientated Architectures
Self-motivation is key and you will be confident working independently, with a pro-active and positive can-do attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, you will be comfortable building strong working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Problem-solving will come naturally to you and you’ll take a logical approach to solving complex issues
Experience working within the financial services industry would be highly beneficial
