About The Role
Civil Enforcement Officers make sure that drivers follow parking regulations on public streets and in car parks.
What you’ll do You will patrol public streets and local council car parks to make sure that regulations are being followed
Record and issue Penalty Charge Notices
Check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults, checking that car parks are clean and tidy
You will report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting any abandoned vehicles
Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities
You’ll check tickets and attend to minor machine faults
Work alongside police community support officers to Report incidents, crimes or anti-social behaviour
Attend court or tribunal if a parking ticket is being disputed
Use equipment such as : Hand-held computers, Two-way radios, mobile phones, cameras to record vehicles that are breaking parking regulations. Body Worn CCTV cameras.
What you'll bring
You’ll need to be assertive and polite when dealing with people
A calm and professional approach to handle difficult situations
Experience of working in a customer service role is highly valued and an ideal transferable skill for this role
You should be able to work as a team member or on your own and have the ability to make decisions
Full driving licence / CBT licence What we’ll offer you Salary of £18,137.60 per annum with an opportunity to earn an additional £1,456 p / a as mobile allowance / enhancements whilst carrying out duties on a moped or pushbike.
Hourly rate on foot £8.72 per hour.
Hourly rate on moped / bicycle £9.42 per hour. Overtime rate on foot £9.72 per hour.Overtime rate on moped / bicycle £10.
42 per hour.40 hours per week. This would be on a shift pattern and will include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays
