The core network is critical to enabling outstanding customer experience across the mobile platform. An outage in the core network can affect millions of customers
This role ensures that there is never a financial blocker to provding the right capacity or service to our customers
What you'll be doing
Control capex spend on subset of Core budget ( £30m)
Work with PM and delivery teams to provide accurate spend forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis to ensure spend is predictable
Ensure that PM and delivery teams understand their budgets, risks and opportunities
Finance to ensure budget is aligned to demand and spend is prioritised
Work with PM and delivery teams to manage spend through governance steps including TIB, local governance, PORB and procurement sign on / sign off
Charing local governance forum on a weekly basis (Mobile-PCB)
We'll also need to see these on your CV
Experience working with finance, procurement and operations
Experience in utilising SAP for complex spend control functions
Experience working within a governance based team
Strong governance skills and experience : challenging costs, forecasting and process across all owners of capex from Mobile Networks and CFU’s
Story-telling with data : strong skills in building business cases, ensuring data is complete, accurate and engaging to Director level audience
