We’re seeking a fun loving, caring and passionate Senior Support Worker to help support our gentleman to live as independently as possible whilst providing the care and attention he needs to live a life that that makes sense to him.
activities including walking / running, trips away, arts and crafts, chilling in the garden or summerhouse
Our gentleman is a healthy, strong and very phsyically able young man however, behaviours of concern can be displayed due to sensory issues (predominantly from sounds and noises which can trigger anxiety) but we will provide you with all the training and support you'll need to be able to react quickly should such situation arise.
As a Senior, you will develop rotas and deputise for the Frontline Manager. You will work closely with the staff team, encouraging them and identifying training needs, whether formal or by way of day-
to-day coaching and reflection. This could be a stepping stone to further opportunities within MacIntyre - namely a future Frontline Manager role.
The work is demanding and it’s not for everyone but the ulitmate reward is the heart felt feeling of being able to see the positive impact you're able to have on anothers life and this is something that you'll never forget.
About you :
It will be preferred that you have some experience working with vulnerable people, especially those with ASD and learning disabilities.
Perhaps you have been a Support Worker or Care Worker / Practitioner and are now looking to step up to a more senior role with more responsibilities and greater challenges.
You will need to be trained in MAPA to ensure that the person we support will be supported correclty and safely should physically intervention be required.
Due to the nature of the role, the ideal applicant will have a flexible and organised approach.
You will need a full manual drivers licence and be aged 21 or over (for insurance purposes) to be able to drive the companys mobility car. About MacIntyre :
